I really want to be one of those people who have ordinary lives, who have schedules that work, who have animals that listen, who have clean cars who can predict what will happen today, tomorrow and forever.
Me and my life well....... what can I say, I live in a mad house or perhaps I am the reason this is a mad house.
Take tonight, just a normal evening, I stopped at the shops to pick up a few things and on the way back to my car, I became invisible because a car reversed out as I was passing and almost wiped me out.
I get home to a mound of dustbin bags outside my gate our garbage disposal persons ( politically correct) are on a go slow, which is a surprise to me because I have never actually seen them moving with any sense of purpose or a sense of urgency My kind neighbour offered to take my bags to the dump........ but tonight he was busy so I have a mound of smelly garbage at my gate.
As I get into our back yard it has rained again, and a swimming pool has appeared in my garden, and our white French poodle who loves water specially if is is brown with mud has been having her own swimming party while the other two dogs are standing by watching, disgusted at how dirty she is and smiling because they know she will not be allowed into the house so they are waiting to see what trouble she is in.
Being lazy to make two trips to the car, I become a one woman packhorse and carry my laptop, my handbag, my hold everything I might need in a day bag, my two grocery bags, by loaf of bread and a gift of wine and chocolates that I received today, and when i get to the door my house keys are still in the car......... this trip with high heel shoes is really not for sissies.........
I am now safely inside, with the dogs crying at the gate to come in, and I see no vegetables have been prepared which means my planned supper now has to change because I don't have time to peel vegetables and cook it and eat it before we are plunged into darkness because of the load shedding.........
Kayla lets two dogs in because they are still crying at the gate and goes outside to play with Ginga..... and the two dogs, who had been crying at the back door to come in since I got home, are now crying to go out again.........
During supper, Ginga the Poodle is trying her best to pull the cat off its bed because she wants the bed, Dash the Jack Russel is fighting both the cat and the Poodle and the minute the three of them are chasing one another around the house, in a fenzied cat/dog fight, Levy the labrador takes over the bed and settles down for the evening.........
And this is just a normal night........ HELP
