IF I HAD TIME TO BLOG
If I had time to blog I would tell you about what has been going on in my life during the past few months. I would be able to tell you about the woman's retreat that we organised, 32 ladies from 5 different church's getting together for a weekend away. The theme was laughter and that is exactly what we did. We started on the Friday evening with a laughter therapy session......... oh my goodness that was so amazing, we laughter until we cried, we laughed until our sides were sore, we laughed until we could not laugh anymore, and that was only...... the first night. We played games, that taught us about gossiping, we made our own clocks, everyone knew which was my clock I put my numbers on the wrong way round, deliberately i might add. We had a surprise talent show, i wish i could have taped it, it was the funniest thing i have seen in a long time. Then we had a talk on laughter and how Jesus had an amazing sense of humour, and then we had communion always a very special time of the weekend, so special, so inspirational, Sunday was church and breakfast and then 32 woman tired...... filled with the Holy Spirit .......... and ready for another year.
I would tell you that i was invited to do a service, at a different church, which was an amazing experience, i think i was very different to anyone they had, had before but they all seeming to enjoy the message, and asked me to come back again.
I would tell you about the New Members breakfast that I held for 32 people.
I would tell you about how we went to the top ten of SA Idols, and how Kayla got to meet all the finalists, because our car was stolen............. and found in 2 hours....... thank you SA police and Idols. I would tell you how now we go to Idols every week............
I would tell you about an amazing food market that we found right in the middle of Johannesburg, full of budding chefs, some have been on SA masterchefs. The food is amazing.
I would tell you that I was off work for a few days, with a migraine......... caused by stress, work is really hectic at the moment, it is almost as though it is Monday...... Friday i am not sure what happens to all the days in between.
And then I would tell you, a lovely peaceful place called Dikololo a nature reserve, restored my sanity for a week in September.
I would tell you about the 40th birthday party I arranged for a friend, the theme think pink.........
I would tell you about the holiday club lessons..... the theme Fruits of the Spirit, awesome to link it in to the Christmas theme.
I would tell you about the awesome dedication service we had for my grandson, who is now 7 months old..........
I would tell you I have been on a course for the past 3 months.
I would tell you that I am exhausted........

Quiet Rhino Passing
Kruger Park
I have just spent a week at the Kruger Park, with a whole load of people 16 in total, they were all caravaning and camping but we went into a chalet........ I just love the comforts of home...... walking to the "loo" in the middle of the night......... is certainly not on my list of things to do who knows who or what may be lurking there.
When we arrived we decided what animals we wanted to see, I was Rhino, Elephant and my friend wanted to see Wild dog. First animal we see is one elephant......... after a 10 hour trip, i was tired of being in the car........restless legs are a MAJOR problem............. so we sped along to get to our camp...... according to everyone behind us we drove straight past a rhino and did not even notice it.
The next day everyone did their own thing so we went off in search of animals....... we were so busy talking we could have drove past a brontesauraus......... and we would not have seen it..... it was so funny we kept telling each other to stop talking and look for animals, we decided later because we were lousy animal hunters to rather meet up with everyone else so were in the middle of the road....... arguing about which direction we should be taking............... I heard a noise next to the car........... and there 2 feet away was a rhino........... it was probably watching us...... waiting for us to see him......... and couldn't take the suspense any longer so came over to make sure we saw him............. and he was BIG............
They had had quite a big fire at the camp we were staying, and animal sightings were not as plentiful as the last time I was in the Kruger. I am sure they had all gone on holiday to the north, one day we drove for 7 hours and hardly saw anything but this sighting of a new born elephant made the whole trip worth while, the little thing was so cheeky it even put its trunk in the air to smell us...... when the mum started coming out of the bush we beat a hasty retreat...... didn't feel like annoying her.
The hippo's were amazing we spent hours watching them, it is not often you see them out of the water........you normally just see there noses sticking up in the water to breath...... hiding away from us animal seekers
My all time favourite animal is the buffalo and for years they hid from me ......... but we saw some lovely ones this time........... however it was on the night drive..... and you will have to use your imagination to see them......... there are three of them in this photo.
Well all good things come to an end. It was great seeing the animals and relaxing, it was even better to see my grandson everyday for the week.

Just Write
I have so much going on in my head at the moment that even I get dizzy sometimes. So today I have given myself the day off....... and I am feeling extreme guilty round about now, even though I have done 4 loads of washing, watered all the pot plants outside as well as all the garden beds, I have tidied the house..........
Last week was holiday club and the theme this holiday club was Noah and the Ark, and the movie for the older children was Soul Surfer an amazing story, and even more amazing was the fact that I could tie each day of the movie into the same theme for Noah and the Ark, the movie even ends with a rainbow......... just like Noah we certainly serve an amazing God. This is the week when free of charge and child can come down to the church for the morning every day for a week, and we will feed them, entertain them and teach them. Our older youth become the teachers for a week, a lot of work, but a lot of fun and how amazing that we can share the Lord with children who do not know who he is.
The first week in August is our Woman's Retreat and the theme this year is Laughter...... we have got a laughter therapist coming to spend the first evening with us and I am now busy putting the whole weekend together.
I love to laugh ............... and am convinced the only reason I am still sane is because I can find something funny in everything. In fact I think that the only person who hated my laughing was my ex-husband when we went to funny movies or shows he would constantly be telling me to shhhhh.... shhhhhh.....ssshhhhh .............. which of course would just make me laugh more. So I have quite a lot to do in the next few weeks. I love that this ministry has grown and every year we get more and more woman who want to come, this year we are 38 so next year we will have to change venues as we have reached maximum numbers at this venue.
I have a confession ........ is it allowed to tell a policeman that he is stupid.... i stopped at the garage on the way to work on Friday to fill up......... on coffee just got to love Mug and Bean coffee the South African answer to Starbucks............ and there in the parking which quite clearly shows is a disabled parking was a police car with the "officers" and I use the term very loosely were getting out of the car, I tried I really tried not to say anything, I bit my tongue in the attempt to be quite, I wondered how many unpaid fines I might have that they would have a reason to arrest me.......... and before I realised it I said......... Good Morning Officer I see that for you stupidity is a disability................. and with the shock still on their faces i went in and ordered my coffee............ now God is awesome in front of me in the queue is another policeman......... so I bought him a choc chip cookie........ hoping that once they ran my number plates...... he would save me.............

Granny.................
Granny.......
Hayden was 6 weeks old yesterday, he is growing so quickly and beginning to get a real little personality of his own. Kira and Jan popped in last Saturday and when I spoke to little Hayden he SMILED .......... not wind........ smiled...........
From the first time I held him in the hospital he recognised my voice, less than one hour old and he turned his head towards my voice........... from then on that was his "trick" and I was constantly called upon to say something....... my favourite thing talking.
Just loved his sign I have to get myself one....................... what could be more true.
Not even an hour old......... looking straight at Granny talking what he didn't know was that I had got a speeding fine going to see him............... not to mention the one going home after he was born, you just have to love camera's................. they just don't lie.
Hayden and Granny at their first photo shoot............ he is just so tiny you forget just how small and precious babies are. I even changed a nappy have not been in the firing............. line yet, I am however super fast as I have heard all the little boy stories....
Cannot wait until he can sleep over and I can have him all to myself..............
