Affirmative Shopping

Thou shalt  not steal!!!!!

Yesterday  I  had  the  day  off  work, I   had  a  number  of  errands  to  run,  and  was  really  tired  after  the  weekend  away,  I   had  breakfast  with  an amazing  lady,  one  of  the  many  admirable  people  that  I  have  the  privilege  of  calling  "friend",   and  had  then  planned  to spend the afternoon  with another  really  good  friend  who I  have  not  seen  in  a  while.  

We  had arranged  to  meet  at  1 o'clock,  so  as  I  arrived at  her  house  to  pick  her  up,  she  and  her  husband  had just  arrived  home  from  a  morning  of  running  errands,  my  timing  was  to  say  the  least  perfect,  but  then  again  it   always  is .....................

She  popped  inside  quickly  to  go  to  the  ladies,  and  the  next  minute  we  heard  her  shouting  "We've  been  robbed"......................  my  heart  stopped,  her  husband  and  I rushed  inside,  unprepared  for  the  absolute  devastation  we  would  find  inside............

They  had  not  been  robbed, this  was  more  that  a  robbery,  their  home  had  been  violated,  their  home  had  been almost  raped,   by  some  unfeeling,  uncaring,  inhuman, beings  ................... you  cannot  call them  human,  because  no  human  is  capable  of  the  destruction  that  these  "beings"  caused,   the  rooms had  been  torn  apart  there  was  not  a  drawer  or  cupboard  that  had  not  been  torn  apart  obviously  looking  for  hidden  firearms  and  money...........

The  safe  had  been  torn  out  of  the  wall,  and  in  doing  so the  entire  cupboard  had  been  destroyed  whole  pieces  of  the  wall,  had  been  ripped  off,  the  sides  of  the cupboard  were  reduced  to  splinters .......  the  main  bed  room  was almost  inaccessible  the  passage  littered  with  suitcases   that  had  been  discarded  in  their  attempt  to  find  the  "Mother Lode"...........

Memories,  pictures,   artifacts  gathered  during  years  of  marraige,  family  heirlooms,   gone  forever  something  that  would  mean  nothing  to  the   perpetrators  of  this  crime,  but  which  means   a  memory  forever  taken  away  from  these  amazing  people........  camera's  full of  images  that  cannot  be  replaced  taken ............ the  cases  of  protection  discarded  like  rubbish  outside  as  they  loaded  there   "shopping"  into  a  waiting  vehicle, a  calculated  well planned  crime ...............
The  inconvenience  is mammoth .............. passports  gone.......... birth  certificates gone........... deeds  to the  house gone......... keys  to  every  thing  that  has  a  lock,  neatly labeled  for  use  gone.............  but  more  that  that  your  security,  your  peace of  mind ,  gone............  your  ability  to  sleep  gone .............. 
The  sad  part  is  that,  we  are  to  blame,   if  no one  would  buy  things  "off the  back  of  the  truck"  then  there  would  be  no  market  for  crime,  there  would  be  no one to  buy  other  peoples  heirlooms,  there  would  be  no robbery  there  would  be  no crime ....................
