Language Please

Yesterday,  we  had  to  go  to  the  airport,  my  sister  in law  has  been  here  from  Canada  for  a month,  and  was  flying  in  via  Cape  Town  on  her  way  home,  so  we  wanted  to  say  goodbye  and  spend  a  few  hours  with  her,  who  knows  when  we  will see her  again..............
We  decided  to  go  for  lunch  first,  and  after  some  "family"  conflict,  my  husband  wanted to  go  to  a  cheap  and  nasty  restaurant,  luckily  we  out voted  him, we  decided  on  the  News Cafe,  about  20  minutes  from  the  airport....................  strangely  enough  it  was  not  very  busy  and  as  usual  my husband  picked  the  remotest  spot,  and  as  my  daughter  said,  the  most  antisocial  spot  there was  in  the entire  restaurant   in  the  back, in  the  corner............
As  we  sat  down,  we  glanced  admiringly  at  a  number  of  cars  parked  outside.............. a  Lambogini,  a  sports  Mercedes,  a  sports  Alpha............. all  in  black,  all  brand  new ......... if  only............
I  then  noticed a  crowd  of people  in  the  opposite  corner....................... at  a  glance  I  could  see that  he  was  the  owner  of  at  least  one  of  these  vehicles,  one  of  the  guys  had  a  gold  necklace  on............  jokes  aside........  about  5  cm  think,  with  the  rings  and  bracelets,  with  the  designer  gear,  the  designer  sunglasses...........that  went  with  it.

It  turned  out  to  be  the  lunch  from  hell............  we  ordered  lunch  and  then  "They"  started  getting  louder  and  louder  and  the  language was  appalling,  I  am  surprised  that  the  air  was  not  blue,  and  that  a  lightning  bolt  did  not  appear  and  strike  them  down.......  it  was  all  I  could  do  not  to  get  up  and "advise"  them  of  how  inappropriate their  language  was ,  if  fact  washing  their  mouths  out  with  soap,  bleech  and disinfectant came  to  mind...........

I  have  never  heard  such  language used,  it  was pouring  forth  in  an  endless  "spew"   of  "f"  words  and  extensions  there  of,  mothers  were  also  mentioned  a  few  times...... and  it  was  not  complimentary  that  I  can  tell you ...............  They  used  it  on  each  other,  and  they  used  it  at  the  people  they  were  talking  to  on  their  cell phones.....
We  wondered  where they  had  got  all there  money  from, and  from  the  snippets  of information  that  wafted  our  way,  it  sounded  like  they  owned  a  night  club,  as  they  were  talking  about  beating  trouble  makes  up...........  locking  them  in  vans.........
At  one  time  I  did  turn  around  and  give  them  a  "Whittal"  special  look,  to  no  avail,  .......   it  is  not  often  that  this  looks  fails..............  although  with  all the  talk  of  beating  people  up  it  was  rather half  hearted, . what  is  even  more  disgusting  there  were  woman  at  the  table,  I  can't  say  ladies,  because  as  a  lady  I  would  never  allow  a man  to  use  that  language  in  front  of  me .................
My  daughter  informed  me  that,  that  is  how  the  "youngsters"  talk  these  days,   you  can  have  all the  money  in the  world,  that  does  not  make  you  a  decent  person,  and  I  know  that  I  shouldn't  judge,  but  trash  is  trash,  no  matter  how expensive  it  is  ...............  all I  can  say  is  over  my  dead  body,  would  I  ever  allow  myself  to  be  subject  to  that  filth.................

  1. I so absolutely agree! One time when one of our docs used the f word, I told him that it was too bad he went to school for so many years and all he learned were four lettered words! He has really cleaned up his language now.

  2. I'm the same, I might drop the f bomb but it is few and far between. I actually usually tell them to watch it, young kids around and all speech.
